- Introductions – Attendance Commissioners Marty Carr, Nanci Nishimura, Elena Duarte, Cara Jenkins, Nat Sterling, David Clark, via zoom Commissioners Pam Bertani, Senator Tom Umberg, Dan Robbins and Jane Sternecky ULC Staff Attorney
- Approval of July 19, 2024 meeting minutes
- Adoption of new Quorum Rule – Discussion on the number of commissioners to constitute a quorum. Commissioner Marty Carr to discuss with Commissioner Cara Jenkins on rules to meet a quorum. Commissioner Cara Jenkins will look into whether the CCUSL commission is an advisory board.
- Travel Rates for the ULC – New information for the upcoming year
- Uniform acts for consideration for introduction in the 2025 legislative sessio
- Uniform Pre-Merger Notification Act – State Attorney General to receive access to filings at the same time as the federal agencies, and subject to the same confidentiality obligations. Commissioner Dan Robbins has been approved to work on this act.
- Easement Relocation Act – Allows a property owner to relocate an easement without the easement owner's consent in certain circumstances. Commissioner David Clark has interest in this act, a vote will not be taken at this time. Jane Sternecky from the ULC thinks this act should be beneficial to California.
- Discussion of ongoing acts
- Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act – Originally built on California statute. There could be improvements made to this act.
- Civil Remedies for Unauthorized Disclosure of Intimate Images Act
- Health Care Decisions Act
- Power of Attorney Act – Interconnected with Digital Assets. Would like to update outdated forms that is found on the probate code
- Notarial Acts
- Special Deposits – Commissioner Dave Clark will continue to work on this act to follow up with the bankers
- Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets – Enacted in 2024
- Deployed Parents Custody Act
