Nat Sterling called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
The Chair determined that a quorum was present.
1. 2012 Annual Dues
There was discussion about California’s dues for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013, and the Commission agreed to pay the same amount as last year, which is $118,000.
2. California’s Vote on Uniform Acts Proposed at the ULC Annual Meeting
The California Commission delegation will vote as follows at the vote-by-state held on Wednesday, July 18.
Uniform Asset Freezing Orders Act – Yes
Uniform Deployed Parents Custody and Visitation Act – Yes
Uniform Manufactured Housing Act – Yes
Uniform Premarital and Marital Agreements Act – Yes
Uniform Choice of Court Agreements Convention Implementation Act – Yes
3. Other Administrative Matters
The Commissioners decided the following matters should be placed on the agenda for the CCUSL meeting held in the fall:
• UCC Articles 4A and 9. Interested persons from both sides of the debate should be invited to address the Commission on the issues.
• A discussion of relations of the Commission with the Legislature.
The meeting was recessed at 6:00 p.m. on July 13 and continued on July 17, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 a.m. on July 17, 2012.
