Item 1 – Introductions

 

            The roll was called and the following commissioners were physically in attendance:  Commissioners Pam Bertani, Diane Boyer-Vine, Marty Carr, Dave Clark, Bob Cornell, Elihu Harris, Dan Robbins, Fred Rowley, and Nat Sterling.

 

            The absent commissioners were Elena Duarte, Hannah-Beth Jackson, and Byron Sher.

 

Item 2 – Annual Dues

 

            The commission discussed the dues for fiscal year 2019-2020, which are $175,350.

 

            A motion was made to approve the dues with the stipulation that none of the dues be used to fund an event or meeting in a travel-ban state.  The motion was approved by a unanimous vote.  Bob Cornell, Elihu Harris, and Dan Robbins were not present for the vote.

 

Item 3 – Final Acts

 

            Uniform Tort Law Related to Drones Act

           

Dan Robbins described the act. A tentative motion was made that California vote in favor of the act at the vote by state depending on the outcome of the reading of the act on the floor.  The motion was adopted unanimously.  Fred Rowley recused himself from the vote. Pam Bertani was not present for the vote.

 

            Revised Uniform Probate Code

 

Diane Boyer-Vine described the act.  A motion was made that California vote in favor of the act at the vote by state.  The motion was adopted unanimously.  Bob Cornell, Elihu Harris, and Dan Robbins were not present for the vote.

 

            Uniform Automated Operation of Vehicles Act

 

Pam Bertani described the act.  A motion was made that California vote in favor of the act at the vote by state.  The motion was adopted unanimously.

 

            Uniform Electronic Wills Act

 

Nat Sterling described the act.  A motion was made that California vote in favor of the act at the vote by state.  The motion was adopted unanimously. Pam Bertani was not present for the vote.

 

            Uniform Registration of Canadian Money Judgments Act

 

Bob Cornell described the act.  A motion was made that California vote in favor of the act at the vote by state.  The motion was adopted unanimously.  Pam Bertani was not present for the vote.

 

            Amendments to Revised Uniform Athlete Agents Act

 

Diane Boyer-Vine described the act.  A motion was made that California abstain at the vote by state.  The motion was adopted unanimously.  Fred Rowley recused himself from the vote.  Pam Bertani was not present for the vote.

 

A motion was approved to recess until Wednesday, July 17, 2019.  The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019
